Hi, I have hair that is at my sholders and i don't have much to do with it. Should i get it cut or put it up in diffrent styles? If you think i should put it in diffrent styles...what do you have in mind?

Agyness Deyn [Laura Hollins] has gorgeous hair but she is very striking in the face, so she manages to pull it off really well.

If you have nice features like her, prominent jaw line, elfin features [ie small nose, small chin etc] then i think it would really suit you.

However, if you've got a more round face, i would consider having it a little longer, and more shaped around your face.

The colour is gorgeous though, i have that colour %26amp; i love it and get nothing but compliments!

Help! I have too much product in my hair!?

I got my hair cut and styled today at the salon and the stylist put way too much shine cream in my hair. As a result, it looks somewhat greasy and it feels almost stuck together. I don't have time to take a shower and wash it out and dry and style it again. Does anyone know of a different way to get the excess out? I've tried brushing my hair a lot and that hasn't helped. Thank you!

DO NOT BRUSH! i repeat, DO NOT BRUSH!!!! This only makes it worse. sprinkle a little baking soda on it, wipe it out with a paper towel, then use some baby powder to freshen the scent. when you do get time to wash it, be sure to use baking soda mixed in with your shampoo to remove any build-up from the product, then wash again before conditioning, and only condition the ends. never apply the conditioner to your scalp. trust me...i do hair.

If you have time, get to a drug store or pharmacy and see if they have dry shampoo like that used in hospitals. It will take excess grease out and leave your hair looking clean. You should also call and complain to the salon! Salons charge an arm and a leg for their services and if you look at the ingredients in their products, the same ingredients are found in over the counter products!

Try wetting it with hot water, don't use shampoo for a few days (and don't go to that saloon!!!!!!!)

(P.S.) I usually put little conditioner on my hair and nothing else. Then I rinse my hair and my hair turns out fine.

You can use baby powder or other types of powder to make your hair look less greasy by rubbing it in to your roots, but don't put too much in so that people can see whiteness on your hair.

Well I got my hair cut today. It used to be down past my neck and it was very long now my hair is still long just a little bit above shoulder length and my bangs go to under my nose. j/k-use some kind of pomade, something to make it relax, weigh it down with some hair greese. I get puffy hair too. I use an anti-frizz serum as well as a pomade by l'oreal.

good luck with your hair, oh here's my tip - dont wash it everyday, it will look better day two-total bed head.

another tip - comb it with your fingers, the opposite way you would normally, see how it looks.

unfortunately, you're pretty screwed unless you're in for an intensive hair plan. Basically, you need hydrating or moisturizing shampoo AND conditioner in the shower. Then put some straightening serum and protective serum in your hair and blow dry it as straight as you can. Touch it up with a flat iron, it will make it less poofy. Do not use hold gels etc. because your hair will looked forced and quite disgusting.

um try wetting it down and then putting the gel in it but not too much, then just let it dry naturally the gel will keep the poof and curls in check so it should be all skater boy-ish. You could if you felt like spending the time try straightening it. My fiance straightens his hair because its naturally kinda wavy. Your best bet would be to go to a barbershop that does black hair regularly. You can mess up cutting black hair if you don't know what your doing. I do all white male clientel in my shop, but did majority of black clientel in barber school. It's not something you pick up the first try. With anyone with straight/wavy hair, you can disguise a bad cut by combing/styling it different. With black hair or even caucasion hair if very short, you're pretty much SOL or have to shave it if you make a mistake.

depends on how long you want it to stich out when you spike it, i do my brothers hair and they all have emo hair of some sort, if you want to be able to leave it down i would say about 2 1/2 inches but if you want it to stick out on its own more like1 1/2 inches, the easest way to spike it is with hairspray, its fast and easy as long as your hair isnt too thick, just spray some hairspray on it, spike it up with your hainds and then blow dry it for a minute so the hairspray will dry and your done, if you hair is thicker try some hair wax or mouse, gel leaves your hair really heavy and un natural looking, i find that hairspary mouse and wax look the best, and wax is good if you lay down and your hair gets flsttened, beacause then you can spike it back up again

I suggest fist of all, VITAMINS. They will help your hair grow out faster! And, second of all, LAYERS. Third of all, there are many PRODUCTS that you can use when your hair is dry that you put on and brush out and it gets straight. [Also BLOWDRYING works greeat!]

There is a scene girl at my school and she has the funky-*** haircut, shaven at one side longish at the other, platinum blonde and spiky. Its obviously inspired from several hair styles. All the plastics thinks she looks stupid because its a bit risque. And its not purely the fact shes gorgeous that she can pull it off, because there is another girl who has just became hot because she changed her style up, put on some baggys and some nike dunks, and the haircut is spot on.

Now my predicament, all the scene guys are clones, and have the same hair cut(which i think is silly) no offence, i'm not a scene or emo kid though.

Wow! I feel really old (but still hot.) I don't know what a lot of those groups of people look like exactly, but I do know that the look you choose will attract certain people, and repel others. So you may want to choose the image you want to project carefully, because that is what you will draw to you. Having a crazy look doesn't mean you are going to appear confident, sexy and sure of yourself image. Usually it comes accross as a deep need for attention, and you miss out on attracting a variety of people, and instead limit your options. Just my opinion, on young guys, I think the medium length (maybe 2 inches) choppy cut (I guess it's the bedhead look) with a little mixed color and tossled with rockstar wax is really good looking. It says "I don't really care what my hair looks like, but it took me 30 minuites to get it to look like I don't care." Hope you find a look you like. good luck.

i too, have thick wavy hair cut in a weird style that looks good straight.. sooo this is what i've gathered so far.

tourmaline straighteners reduce frizz in humidity and heat up really fast.. ive got the conair one, and i'm really happy with it. i'm not sure how exactly yours is cut, but i've found that though my hair doesnt look good wavy/curly in this cut, if i slightly straighten/curl it with this straightener then run my fingers through it, it looks really natural/sleek and not overdone (bonus, it makes your hair really shiny)

at sallys beauty supply theres this shampoo called ion straightening shampoo.. it works really well and smells nice too.

err... lets see, frizz ease is always a good product, and good conditioners are a must if you plan on straightening your hair often, otherwise you'll end up creating a lot of breakage.

then, let your hair NATURALLY dry,

blow-drying makes hair really vulnerable to breakage and frizz.

then, once hair has dried, use a conair ceramic straightener

(you can probably buy them pretty cheap at target)

and straighten the hair section by section.

Use Paul Mitchell super skinny serum and a Chi flat-iron. (all of those for the straight hair that is).

Remington S2103. They are black with a creamy coloured ceramic bit. Use it with Tresemme Heat Defence spray. Dont ask me how i know!!

I know this isnt exactly the answer you were looking for but, I have the same type of hair.

DO NOT cut your hair short. I guarantee you that your hair will look like a big mushroom on top of your hair.

IF you are dead set on getting it shorter or keeping it really straight use V05 Shine Spray. This stuff is amazing. Spray it on after you blow dry your hair and get a really good Ceramic straightening iron. This will run you close to 100.00 but a good ceramic iron is worth it. I pull mine up monday - Friday and let it air dry. I put a smoothing serum on it so it looks shinny and smooth. On the weekends I straighten.

Emo Hair ...? Not Dyed Or Cut Like It. Pleease Answer!!?

Okay So I Like The Emo Hair Style. I'm Not Dying It (its light brown) and not cutting it. It is just below shoulder length, quite thick and has medium length layers (the ones and the front are my side fringe grown to about hair my hair length) I have a side partin on my left side.

Anyway, I went to claires and bought some big clips...you know those huuge hair clips?

I got 2 silver ones and 2 red ones.

But i dont know how to wear them!!

I wanna wear my hair down so i tried putting two pieces of hair back and clipping them at the back but it looks awful.

Hey there. Hair salons are really really popular here in Dominican Republic, so the price is the least of your worries. It depends on many things like the city that you'll be. I don't live in the capital and they charge me about 6 dollars for washing and blowing my hair straight dry.

It also depends on the kind of hair you have. Mine is curly, but really thin, so it is kind of easy to dry. But a lot of people here have the kind of hair you have: thick and curly, my mom has hair like that, so they'll know how to handle it.

But I'll give you an advice though: if you don't want any chemicals in your hair be really really straighforward about it. Make it very clear that you don't want any chemicals 'cause they will try to convince you, and trust me, we can be really persuasive.

They use heat almost always though. The heat can be good to your hair, but it depends on the person that blows dry your hair. So be careful and find a good quality hair salon.

The long, soft and amazing hair is true but it requires time, pacience and a good quality hair salon. Like I told you, my mom has curly thick hair and they make it really straight and soft looking at the hair salon that we go. They just wash her hair and make it straigh with a blow dryer. They charge her 6 dollars for it.

Don't let yourself be decieved. Don't let them charge you more that 12 dollars (400$ Dominican pesos) just for washing and adding product to your hair. Even 12 dollars is a lot for that, but in the capital and turistic sites that's what they charge.

cut ur own side bangs, i did mine myself and they were pretty good

1. after washing ur hair tie all ur hair up, except the part u want as bangs

2. put the hair u want as bangs in front of ur face

3. DO NOT PART HAIR!!!

4. hold hair between fingers and make one straight horrizontal cut

5. then, hold hair about 2 inches away, and start vertical cutting ur hair until it is slanted and angled to a side (hair still in front of face)

push hair to the smaller angle side of the bangs

tips:

do all these steps with bangs about a few inches shorter than u want them to be so u can practice

wash and brush/comb hair before cutting

cut in front of a mirror (one u are not holding!)

if cutting over a sink, then put a newspaper over the sink so hair does not clog

-Like you've kind of mentioned,you can do it in a messy pony tail in the middle of the back of your head using bobbdy pins(if you have any) to secure some of the hair be stil keep the messy look.

-Also,put the hair thats behind you ears in a pony tail then slip a head band behind your ears and let the pony tail done so the hair band is in the middle of all your hair.Pretty cool!

-Anotehr thing is just to flat iron or straighten the top layers of your hair and make lower layers sort of flipping outwards using your flat iron.Or,you can just flat iron the top layer.

Well , do you have bangs? whenever i wanna change up my hairstyle i pin my bangs up . but make them poofy , and since you can barley do a ponytail .. why don't you go out and get some clips and you can clip your hair up in a messy updo. Headbands still work . And applying some moouse or something can make it look shattered and different .

Try low pigtails at the neckline; it's okay if all the hair doesn't stay in them, just use a sports elastic to keep the hair out of your face.

If you know how to braid hair well, braid a couple pieces in the front of your hair, about three sections, and let the rest hang down straight.

You can always part it to a side and put in a couple bobbypins to keep the hair in place.

Instead of pernament colored highlights, ask your mom if you can get some that wash out after ten showers and darken the under-layer of your hair. It's fashionable and very in. Plus this is one hair style that many starlets haven't taken to, and if many people in your school haven't either, you'll be a trendsetter (:o for like ten days!).

my hair is always so boring. its always straight and down and occasionaly in a half pony tail and thats it! i really need a new hair do. Hey everyone!

I am 13 years old, I have medium long brown hair that covers over my ears by about a centre metre.

I have hair that grows pretty fast but can't have it to long or change the colour of it or i get kicked out of school until it goes away... But i do not want a really short hair cut because i think thats stupid. So if anyone has got any pictures, or something i can tell the hairdresser that would be awesome! And for my For clothing i usually wear:

Runners

Tracksuit pants (The synthetic ones or something like that)

Just like a T-Shirt with a brand like addidas, Puma, Nike ect.

I also wear a jumper

So over all a pretty basic clothing style. If you got any clothing combos or something like that, that would also be awesome.

And no comments on how looks don't really matter and its all about whats on the inside... because i already know that...

I'd say chop it. that cute little bob is so in. with a long fringe maybe swept to the side gently? see, i had the whole vic beckham long at the front short at the back, and then i had the blunt fringe and the bob and then i got a huge chunk taken out of the back left side of my hair and shaved underneath it. if you've got the guts, you'll be surprised how many people dig the look. only if you've got the girly face to go with it, otherwise it can end up looking biker and rough.

but ithink you should just cut it all one length and just below your ears. looks amazing. especially on healthy hair.

Well if your going for the preppy look i would definitely get side bangs and lots of layers. But since a round face is nearly as wide as it is long, and widest in the cheeks. You'll want to avoid a lot of chunky layers, as they tend to add bulk, so keep the fringe long and sleek.

i love this hair cut... have the person cutting ur hair take the razor and cut it on a sharp angle down teh sid eof ur face, this will include side swept bangs, but they will have like a jagged cut to them. Then in the back, tell her u want a chunky look for the last 2-3 inches of ur hair. Ur hair will still be able to go in a pony tail, but some of the front will still hang out, but it looks sexy i think. It also looks really hot when u have it straight and down. If u want to curl it, u would have very nice, uneven curls that fall into place becaus eof the way it is cut. I would also suggest getting some streaks of somekind. Ask ur hairdresser for the best color.

I use to have this hair cut(and thinking about going back to it) and i use to blow dry teh front/top part of it, adn then take the rest into a lower ponytail in teh part, and make it very messy looking. Its not, and so easy to do when u dont have time to get ready.

The maintanence in those styl;es is all about the styling, you have to remeber that these people you see in magazines have proffesional stylists working on their hair all the time and tahts why they look so good......

However.....you should ask they stylist for long,m soft layering throughout the hairstyle with shaping around the face......this knd of cut looks great straight as well if you aren't gifted with rollers and blowdrying....you can bok yourself into the salon for a blowout as a treat if you are going somewhere nice as the aim is too get bounce ibn the hair, very difficult to acheive on your own, but who knows with lots of practise you could be a pro before you know it!

u can achieve the wavy hair style even if ur hair isnt naturally wavy, all u have to do is once uve washed it, apply heat protection spray then some moose then dry ur hair with a hair dryer using the defuser attachment, try not to handle the hair too much afterwards as it makes the wavys turn frizzy
