Do you think I should get my hair cut up to my shoulders?

My hair is down to my waist and I have had that cut for about 3 or 4 years and I think I need a change in style. If I do everyone will notice and they will either think it looks great or bad. I am scared they will mess up though. What do you think???

I was the same way last year. I got my hair cut and gave it to locks of love. The cut I got was at about my shoulders with a side bang and long layers. Then I had it curled into those beautiful loose curls. It turned out absoulutly goregous and evryone loved it! U should do it.

if your looking for a DRASTIC change you should cut it. but if youre not so sure yet, you could try cutting only a few inches off first.

Being a hairstylist myself, I would say you have to ask yourself a few questions before deciding to do it. The first thing is, what's your hair texture? If it's curly, it might shrink up if you cut it to your shoulders...and then you might really hate it. Also, if it's thick....it might poof out and look ridiculous. Also...how much time are you willing to put into your hair? If youre used to wash n go, as with most long haired clients, you might find a rude awakening when you have got that shoulder length layered cut, that takes straightening, blowdrying, hair products, etc. Good luck girl!!

If you're ready for a change then go for it! Go through magazines and/or ask a stylist to help you figure out what styles will flatter your face the best.

I don't think there is any way people could think that getting your hair cut to your shoulders would look bad. For the most part, shoulder length looks good on everyone. I'd recommend getting layers or something though so that your hair will have more style.
